Woman gets 20 iPhone7: Xiaoli, a woman from the city of Shenzhen in southern China, who is from a poor home and the oldest child in her family asked each of her 20 boyfriends to buy her a newly launched iPhone 7. The woman who is the breadwinner of her family, got all 20 iPhone7 phones and then sold all of the phones to a mobile phone recycling site called Hui Shou Bao for 120,000 Chinese yuan (about £14,500), and used the money to put down a deposit on a house in the countryside. A court heard how Jamil ‘JB’ Baskerville Jr was present when his mum’s partner, Zachary Tricoche, 24, started arguing with her about her food purchases. The Cross River State Police Command has arrested a Senior Secondary School, SS 2 student, Christian Donatus, aka Inyang, believed to be the leader of a robbery gang. Donatus, a student of Eastern Secondary School, Ediba, Calabar, the state capital, had allegedly led his syndicate to raid a shop, Value Mart, owned by the former First Lady of the state, Obioma Imoke, two weeks ago. The suspect was paraded alongside one of his accomplices, Ubong Bassey Essien, on Wednesday before newsmen at the Command’s headquarters. A18-year-old girl, Okike Ezinne from Isu Mbaneze in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has been arrested by the Enugu State Police Command on Tuesday for allegedly selling her baby identified as Chisom Raphal for N300,000. According the spokesman of the police in Enugu State, SP Ebere Amaraizu, Ezinne blamed her bosom friend for tricking her into selling off her baby. Amaraizu disclosed in the statement that the girl had the baby out of wedlock and decided to keep it but was reportedly tricked to sell off the baby by her friend, one Promise Godwin, a 20-year old single mother. Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu polled 584 majority votes in a landslide victory that saw him clinch the party’s ticket to slug it out with the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki in the political battle that will produce the next governor of Edo State. Mr. Matthew Iduorikemwen came second scoring 91 votes while Chief Solomon Edebiri came third with 38 votes.
